Finding the perfect hotel for your family travels can be daunting. While many hotels tend to cater to couple’s or business travelers, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Magnificent Mile welcomes all ages to relax and enjoy one of their 184 newly redesigned hotel rooms and suites.
While the weather was still a lovely 54 degrees, we booked our reservation for an overnight stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Magnificence Mile location, they have two downtown locations. We reserved the executive suite which featured one king size bed and one sleeper sofa.
The suite is ideal for families seeking an affordable and functional hotel space that provides privacy for all guests. What I love most about this space is the division wall between the king size bedroom and the sitting or living area which doubles as an additional sleeping sofa bed.
Our room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, free wireless internet, coffee maker and more amenities. The executive suite felt like a home away from home during our staycation.
The Parking
I highly recommend you take advantage of the valet service at Fairfield Inn & Suites. The hotel is within walking distance of 200 plus restaurants and 3 blocks away from the infamous Michigan Mile shopping stores. You won’t need your vehicle during your stay so, keep it tucked away in a garage by the hotels friendly valet staffers. Plus, there is no way you can find free parking nearby and paid parking will have you walking miles before you arrive to your destination. Off site parking is $42 and valet parking is $58.
Breakfast
Another reason why this hotel is an A+ in my book. Complimentary breakfast comes with the cost of your hotel booking. So, you instantly save money by staying here. We often have to worry about ordering room service in the morning or rushing to a nearby restaurant to satisfy our 2 year old picky eating habits. Not this time, the Fairfield Inn & Suites provides a variety of options for a hot breakfast, including scrambled eggs, sausage patties, oatmeal and seasonal fruit, yogurt, fresh breads, coffee and my favorite, a waffle station.
The Decor
Sleek hard surface flooring, quartz counter tops, modern fixtures and dark wood furniture surrounded by large windows, allowed for amazing natural sunlight in our room. The contemporary décor created a relaxing mood during our stay in the executive suite.
